Ukraine successfully selected to participate in EU4Digital pilot project

Mariia Mygal

The project envisages joining the European Union’s unified e-consignment note system – e-CMR.

This achievement is the result of diligent and consistent work on the implementation of the e-consignment note. e-CMR is required for road freight transport in Ukraine.

The e-consignment note system is based on international data exchange standards. This will make integration with the European e-CMR system easier. The introduction of e-CMR will significantly simplify document flow and business processes in the future.

The EU4Digital project includes:

🔸 Updating and implementing EU practices for the exchange of electronic cargo information;

🔸 Assessment of the current state of electronic exchange of freight information;

🔸 Developing a roadmap for the deployment of electronic freight transport.

The roadmap will be developed in 2023 based on the assessment of the current state of affairs and will include an action plan for the integration of the e-freight transport platform between Ukraine and the EU.
