Research on the practices of reconstruction after destruction: Italy
Italy is a country that lost a third of its national wealth, 60% of its roads, 40% of its railways and 20% of its businesses during the World War II.
In addition, in the postwar period, there was an urgent need not only to rebuild the country, but also to get rid of the fascist legacy in the economy, as Italy had been ruled by the Fascists led by Mussolini for almost 20 years.
