Prospects for the Implementation of the International Consignment Note (e-CMR) in Ukraine

Is the transition to the use of digital technologies in transport a significant factor in the successful growth and development of the freight transportation industry? Europe expects the digitalization of freight transportation to save money and time, minimize health risks for workers in the pandemic era, and improve the environment. Ukraine is also moving towards digital technologies in transport – in 2020, our country acceded to the Additional Protocol to the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road on the Electronic Consignment Note (CMR). The extent to which Ukraine is ready to implement the electronic international consignment note (e-CMR) and what “homework” should be done for this purpose can be found in this report.
