Research on the practices of reconstruction after destruction: Colombia

Mariia Mygal

The Colombian Civil War (1958-2016) and the fight against drug cartels took lives of more than 260,000 people. The underground activities of criminal groups against the current government were extremely brutal. They were involved in imposing tribute on farmers, kidnapping people for ransom, and disrupting critical infrastructure.

Did the authorities manage to resolve the conflict and get on the road to recovery? What lessons can Ukraine learn from this experience?
