The recovery process should anticipate negative factors that may impede an effective reconstruction process. These include corruption risks, imperfect regulatory frameworks, mismatch of results with stakeholder expectations, miscalculations in strategic planning and unclearly defined responsible authorities.

Let us consider the reconstruction process in the Republic of Haiti, the dynamics of the country’s development according to the criteria set by international organisations and the factors that influence the achievement of the recovery goal.

In this document, we have tried to identify the failures of the of the Republic of Haiti in the reconstruction process and provide material for formulating the right approach and planning for sustainable Ukraine’s recovery after the war with the Russian Federation.
