{"id":1181,"date":"2025-01-23T09:59:50","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T09:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iaa.org.ua\/en\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=1181"},"modified":"2025-01-23T09:59:51","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T09:59:51","slug":"customs-reform-in-the-european-context-current-achievements-and-plans","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/iaa.org.ua\/en\/articles\/customs-reform-in-the-european-context-current-achievements-and-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"Customs Reform in the European Context: Current Achievements and Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 31 January, 12:00-13:30, the NGO \u201cInstitute of Analytics and Advocacy\u201d in partnership with the NGO \u201cTechnologies of Progress\u201d invites you to a public event \u201cCustoms reform in the European context: current achievements and plans\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting will be a platform for discussing the achievements, challenges and opportunities of customs reform, in particular in the context of filling the state budget, facilitating international trade and combating smuggling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the presentation of the ACCORD project results, the Institute for Analysis and Advocacy will present an assessment of the effectiveness of mechanisms for coordinating the implementation of customs reform through dialogue with business and civil society, and Progress Technologies will present a KPI system for customs authorities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Topics for discussion with the involved experts:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Customs reform in the context of the adoption of Law 6490-d, strengthening civil society oversight, the need to fill the state budget, facilitate international trade and fight smuggling.<\/li><li>An overview of the practical issues of implementing Law No. 6490-d on the peculiarities of service and certification of customs officials, a plan with potential KPIs for the \u2018first 100 days\u2019 for the newly elected Head of the State Customs Service.<\/li><li>Review of the results of the law on criminalisation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Date and time:<\/strong> 31 January, 12:00 &#8211; 13:30 (Kyiv time)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Format: <\/strong>online meeting on Zoom platform with live broadcast on Youtube and IAA Facebook page<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Working language:<\/strong> Ukrainian (simultaneous translation into English)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pre-registration<\/strong> is required <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeW1897-7iCvYs4tJk90P6C4UvGdKL83aP4DmDa6tFVsE-mwA\/viewform?usp=sharing\">by the link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The event has been prepared with the financial support of the European Union.
